CCS M2 cabinets are smart storage systems. There is no system that offers our speed and accuracy as you can see by the parameter values for all cabinets:

Automatic cabinet functionality

Just close the cabinet door, and a fully automatic stocktake of the cabinet inventory is initiated by the system. The respective information will be transmitted to the ERP system of the manufacturer via internet and in free intervals. These data cannot only be used to trigger automatic replenishment deliveries, but they may also serve to improve the demand forecast and production planning processes of the manufacturer. The cabinet inventory can be read in three dimensions, i.e. independent from the individual tag orientation in space.

Plug and play installation, operating 24/7 without maintenance

Our systems operate nonstop 24 hours/7 days per week and do not require any maintenance. Each cabinet contains a centralized power supply and an industrial PC to control all antennas and readers, as well as the electronic cabinet access control. It can be installed without further effort and additional costs due to our plug-and-play approach (adaptive tuning technology). The warranty period for all components and the system functionality is 24 months from the date of delivery. Our service partners are in Europe and North America.

Security

The RFID controlled access allows only a precisely defined set of people to open and close the cabinet.

All components are CE, FCC and UL certified.

As our cabinets are completely Faraday shielded (EMV), they can also be used in the intensive care section of hospitals. We guarantee faultless operation for an ambient temperature range of 0 – 60 degrees centigrade.

Available on request, all surfaces and handles may be covered by a patent protected antibacterial metallization that destroys antibiotic resistant staphylococcus aureus bacteria.

Industrial PC and power supply unit are protected against voltage spikes and good for international use. All electrical and mechanical components are designed for nonstop heavy duty use within the system architecture designed to minimize the energy consumption.

Edgeware Crosstalk

Crosstalk is a connecting software which allows to nonstop and synchronously monitor and control a multitude of RFID measurement points and connect them to a business system of a company (ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle).

Certain modules of this software from noFilis Auto ID GmbH have been especially shaped to the needs of CCS M2. Because of its efficiency Crosstalk is extensively used by the automotive industry (Daimler, Bosch, BMW ,etc.).

We use Crosstalk Agent and Server for our CCS M2.

Crosstalk Agent is already preinstalled on the industrial PC of a cabinet. It allows a simple data transfer from cabinet to the Crosstalk server which takes care of the synchronous administration of a multitude of cabinets. It is typically installed at the facilities of the manufacturer or the distributor.

Tag Matching Station CCS M2

If you do not want to use our CCS RFID Tagging service for implants you can choose to tag the products on your own.

Tag products on your own

With a tag matching station you can tag your products. All information contained in the barcode of a product can be written to its RFID tag.

The inventory located in the cabinet can then be read in the usual way and – provided it is a consignment stock – be transferred to the manufacturer.

We offer the module CCS M2/TM to hospitals that want to tag their stocks by themselves, for example because the manufacturer refuses to tag his products.

Independent control of your inventory

Alternatively, we offer the CCS M2 Database including a PC on which a Crosstalk Server has been installed to run the inventory control independently. One can also use the ERP system of the hospital to achieve the same functionality like the manufacturer.

Components

The most significant components are:

RFID Tags

As standard for CCS M2 we use single use RFID tags based on PJM–technology.

Alternatively, we offer the newly developed reusable CCS M2 LITE tags. The CCS M2 LITE Tags are reusable RFID tags based on chipcard technology using PJM chips from Infineon. The rewritable RFID smart cards (PET) are suitable for cleaning at temperatures of up to 80 degrees Centigrade. Minimum reuse is 20 cycles between manufacturer and hospital.

As CCS is dedicated to provide sustainable and environment friendly solutions, CCS M2 LITE tags allow to reduce normal tag waste by more than 80%.

Service Package CCS M2 LITE

CCS M2 LITE is a service package to enable easy access for new RFID users. This service package is optional.
